Justin Foss

Justin Foss leads resource development activities for Alliant Energy’s Iowa energy company – Interstate Power and Light Company. Justin has worked for Alliant Energy since 2010 and has a diverse background in communications, stakeholder management and renewable energy development. In his role, Justin leads teams that prospect locations for future projects ranging from 200kW to 300MW. His team works directly with landowners to acquire land rights through either purchase or lease. The team also works with the
transmission operators and overall system operators to assess the economic viability of a project. His team is also responsible for working with local governments to obtain permits for projects. Justin has been a part of the company’s wind energy development since 2015 and has led the solar and storage development since 2020.

Justin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
