From Jeff Fiagle, Team Lead Pollution Prevention Services at Iowa DNR:

On June 30, 2018, the e-manifest national system for tracking hazardous waste shipments electronically will begin. This system will modernize the nation’s cradle-to-grave hazardous waste tracking process while saving valuable time, resources and dollars for industry and states.

To help prepare users for the new system, EPA will be hosting free workshops in Iowa. These workshops are free and available without registration for anyone who uses a hazardous waste manifest. Workshops are being held in June.

EPA developed the workshops in cooperation with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and the other state regulatory agencies in Region 7. If you have any questions about the workshops, please contact Rebecca Wenner (wenner.rebecca@epa.govor 913-551-7644) or Marcus Rivas (rivas.marcus@epa.gov or 913-551-7669) both with EPA.

E-manifest workshops will be held in the following Iowa locations:

Davenport Public library – Eastern Brand, 6000 Eastern Avenue, Davenport, Iowa
June 7, 2019, Thursday – 9:30 to 12:30 pm

Auditorium, Wallace State Office Building, 502 E. 9th Street, Des Moines, Iowa
