Ben Kvigne
Environmental Specialist
As an Environmental Specialist at the IWRC, I bring my expertise in waste reduction to both the Painter Training and the Food, Beverage, and Organics programs. By understanding each client’s unique needs and identifying innovative solutions, I help businesses minimize their waste and implement efficient waste management practices that reduce overall costs and meet environmental compliance regulations.
My role involves training industrial and military painters in painting preparation, application, and safety through our STAR4D curriculum in order to reduce paint waste and painter errors, and increase mission readiness. I also assist in the education, planning and execution of composting training guides and workshops as a method of addressing food waste at a community level. Composting is also a sustainability practice I implement at home.
Whether assisting in painter training or organic food waste reduction, helping businesses save time and money while practicing sustainability makes my work incredibly rewarding.
Outside the office, I like to stay connected to nature through wildlife painting, wood carving, hunting, and fishing.
