June was a busy month for our Iowa Green Brewery Certification program! They welcomed four new breweries to the ranks of the Iowa Green Brewery Certification: Second State Brewing (Cedar Falls), Pivo Brewery (Calmar) Big Grove Brewery & Taproom (Iowa City), and Court Avenue Restaurant and Brewing Co.(Des Moines).
Court Avenue Restaurant and Brewing Co. (CABCo) has become the first Des Moines area brewery to join the Iowa Green Brewery Certification program.
On Saturday, June 16th, we were excited to attend and be a sponsor at the Iowa Craft Brew Festival in Des Moines. Despite the high temperatures, the festival was well attended and featured over 70 craft breweries and cideries each pouring two or more brews.
The IWRC has just announced that the 2018 Midwest Food Recovery Summit will again host an Innovator Lightning Round and his year, with sponsorship from the Center for Business Growth and Innovation, the winner of the 2018 Lightning Innovator Round will walk away with $1,000.
