The following resources provide small businesses a basic overview of air quality regulations in the state of Iowa.

All new or modified equipment and control equipment that emits air pollutants must have a construction permit unless the equipment is otherwise exempt.

Air construction permit applications, modifications, requests for rescission and start of construction and start of operation notifications must be done using the Iowa DNR's electronic permit application system Iowa Easy Air.
