Canescens BV, the EMEA distributor for VirtualPaint spent time in South Africa earlier this month to showcase the virtual reality training simulator at Automechanika Johannesburg (pictured right), and they did not walk away empty handed.

According to the trade show catalogue, companies that have developed particularly innovative products are singled out for the Automechanika Innovation Award, and we are pleased to announce that VirtualPaint was one of the lucky recipients.

The award (pictured below) showcases a highly commended classification for the virtual reality training simulator. Included on the award, it says "In the view of the judging panel the product's lifelike simulation technology will help to quicken the training and evaluation of spray painters, promoting fast learning through its ability to provide instant feedback and by eliminating traditional requirements such as spray booth time."

The Innovation Award marks the third award VirtualPaint has received, following the Special Jury's Award for Innovation at Equip Auto, and the Excellence in Technology Transfer from the Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer (more about those awards here).
