Working with a wide variety of industries and businesses means meeting a wide variety of needs. Training by the IWRC comes in many shapes and sizes so to speak. Some businesses request a focus on particular equipment, some require training with a focus on improving spray technique or reducing rework, and some simply need to comply with a regulation.

Winnebago TraineesThis is the case of recent training at Winnebago Industries. Winnebago must adhere to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's National Emission Standards for Wood Furniture Manufacturing Operations, which includes an annual painter training requirement.

"We have been fortunate to work with Winnebago for many years now helping them to comply with the regulation," says Jeremiah Treloar, VirualPaint Program Manager at the IWRC. The most recent training included a one day session at the Charles City, IA facilty. Twenty-two painters (two of which are pictured to the right) participated in a mix of classroom and VirtualPaint training throughout the day.

"While this type of training session is focused on regulatory compliance we are also able to work with painters to ensure efficient production," concludes Treloar.
