The Midwest Food Recovery Summit Call for Presentations is closed.  Thank you to everyone that submitted a Call for Presentation. Please email iwrc@uni.edu with any questions.

Presentations that are focused on case studies, planning processes and/or research, in particular, abstracts that showcase details regarding why and how the food waste reduction, recycling, and/or diversion project was started, obstacles encountered, and/or innovative solutions, will be given priority.  Abstracts focused solely on a particular product and/or service will not be considered.

Presentation Format

Each speaker will be provided 20 minutes for their presentation and all sessions will include a panel of experts working in the field.  If you feel you need more than 20 minutes, exceptions will be made if you can demonstrate your presentation necessitates more than 20 minutes.

Deadlines and Instructions

1. All speakers must submit abstracts in the Call for Presentations form by 5:00 p.m. CST on Friday, March 30, 2018.

2. You will be notified of acceptance by Friday, April 20, 2018.

3. Speakers with an accepted presentation will be able to register for the full summit at a discounted full-conference rate. There will be no charge to attend on only the day you are speaking.

4. Accepted speakers will be required to submit their presentation by Friday, August 17, 2018.

5. Accepted speakers will be responsible for their own travel and hotel costs.
