Andrea Schnitzer

Andrea Schnitzer manages the development of the interactive EPA Wasted Food Opportunities Map which supports nationwide diversion of excess and wasted food from landfill. In this role, she leads data analysis and technical development and sets the direction for the map’s evolution. Andrea also advises on the development of the Agency’s strategic plan for the sustainable management of food and sits on a number of related work groups that address composting, anaerobic digestion, and sustainable materials management. Prior to her work with food, Andrea supported strategic planning and commercial building energy efficiency for EPA’s ENERGY STAR program and supported EPA rulemaking as a consultant.
