Shelly Peterson

Shelly Peterson has worked with the State Energy Office, now housed at the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA), since 2010. Currently, she is working to advance biomass conversion opportunities in the state. Her role also includes management of energy efficiency, renewable energy and energy research projects funded by state and federal grant programs. Previously, she worked on both the east and the west coasts of the United States as an engineer for private consulting firms. Shelly has a MS in Environmental Engineering from Cornell University (Ithaca, NY) and a BS in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University (Ames, IA).
