We are excited to welcome Fat Hill Brewing and Worth Brewing Company to the ranks of the Iowa Green Brewery Certification program. Fat Hill Brewing was awarded a silver certification, out of Mason City, IA, while Worth Brewing Company from Northwood, IA was awarded a bronze level certification.

When it came to their on-site audits, both of these upper-north Iowa breweries had a strong passion for sustainability. “Fat Hill and Worth were such great breweries to work with,” says Joe Bolick, project manager for the certification program. “Seeing breweries, like them, with so much excitement in being sustainable and efficient makes my job that much more rewarding.”

Some major highlights that contributed to Worth Brewing Company’s bronze certification were their installation of high-efficiency appliances and their suitable recycling procedures. For Fat Hill, their overall energy efficiency and water conservation are what helped them earn their silver certification level ranking.Fat Hill Brewing Certified
