STAR4D is proud to announce Dale Alleman at Letterkenny Army Depot as the recipient of the 2014 STAR4D Instructor of the Year award. The award is presented to instructors that go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure the STAR4D satellite site program is successful.

Alleman receives 2014 STAR4D Instructor of the Year awardAlleman’s tenure as an instructor began in 2012 when he joined existing instructor, Dennis Rosenberry. Alleman jumped right in to a vigorous training schedule in 2013 that has not ceased. Two to three courses are held each month to ensure all painters are certified and maintain that certification annually. Aside from training, Alleman was also crucial in working with STAR4D staff to develop a site-specific two-day blasting certification which has been added to Letterkenny’s course offering.

Alleman was presented the award on Thursday, February 26, 2015 by Rosenberry. Also in attendance was Rick Klein, STAR4D Program Manager; Graig Jolley, Naval Surface Warfare Center; and Mark Davis, Deputy Division Manager, Leidos.  Representing Letterkenny Army Depot was Jason Nold, Chief, Process Support Division; Ken Fahrney, Deputy Division Chief; and Robert Boggs, Branch Chief.

“Dale has been a great asset to the STAR4D program at Letterkenny. He is very deserving of this recognition,” says Klein. Rosenberry continues, “Dale’s wonderful personality and 25 years of dedicated civil service employment in Letterkenny’s paint department is a tremendous value to the STAR4D painter training and certification program here at the Depot.”

Congratulations to Dale from the STAR4D staff!
