The next Iowa Strategic Goals Program workshop is taking place in Des Moines with a focus on the Clean Water Act.

Regulators would provide hints and tips to help you better understand what is required of your business. This workshop will provide the opportunity to meet with regulators and industry experts in a small setting where questions are welcome!

In the morning, attendees will hear from representatives of EPA Region 7 about EPA’s Enforcement & Compliance History Online (ECHO) and compliance tools they use. In the afternoon we’ll hear about EPA’s Underground Injection Control program. A local compliance perspective will be provided by staff from the Des Moines Metropolitan Wastewater Reclamation Authority in which permitting, inspections and sampling of industrial contributors will be discussed and a DNR inspector will talk about the Common NPDES Violations they tend to encounter.

Cost: $40 (includes lunch)

A workshop flyer, an agenda, registration form and map are attached and can also be accessed here.

This workshop is the twenty-first in a series offered by the Iowa Strategic Goals Program. The workshop is open to all Iowa manufacturers and the materials presented will apply to a broad range of industrial processes.
